Lucy Lambert Press Kit

Lucy Lambert is a jazz pianist, accordionist, singer, artist, and violinist currently traveling the world as a touring artist. She has over ten years of performance experience as a professional musician, performing in the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, the Marciac OFF Jazz Festival in South France, and several years gigging in five star hotels and restaurants as a pianist and violinist, including jazz shows in Rosewood Hotel Georgia.

 

After six months performing in luxury resorts, tiki beach huts and seaside hotels in the Caribbean over the winter, she has recorded a new album of Latin jazz music with her band of Latin American artists in Mexico. She is currently producing the album. in London, England and is excited to release it later this year.

Her last two albums were recorded in Vancouver and Montreal with some of Canadas top players, and were released to international airplay on CBC Radios Saturday Night Jazz and Quand le Jazz est la show, as well as being aired on Jazz FM, Syncopated Times and Canadian Beats.

Lucys singing and jazz piano playing is influenced by jazz legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Bill Evans, Duke Ellington, Jellyroll Morton and Chet Baker. As a violinist and accordionist she has spent a lot of time in swing and jazz manouche circles studying the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephan Grappelli, which she has featured renditions of on both her last albums.

Her romantic and dreamy songwriting, virtuosic piano and accordion playing, and classy swing ambiance are complemented by her sultry and soulful singing style.
